These stays are inspired by an original pattern from 1730 which was modified to fit a male body.

Inspired by the background print, which was found in a history book, the corset integrates a fixed stomacher and it is entirely made using golden brown cotton velvet and pastel violet cotton cloth lining.

Natural reed was employed as boning, which gives the stays a round relief.
Both the shoulder straps and the back are laced with unbleached cotton cord.

It is embellished with contrasting cotton thread in pale violet and piping made out of the cloth used for the lining
