W A I T I N G
F O R  G O D O T

by Samuel Beckett

The concept for this “tragicomedy in two acts”, as coined by Becket,  centers around the rural landscape and its seemingly imperceptible motion. The staging of this work plays with the idea of the double gaze: the audience is placed facing angled, slightly distorted mirrors which are suspended along the three walls of the stage and overlook the actors.

The audience is free to watch the play directly or through the mirrors. With this double gaze I attempt at talking about how a story can be understood in various ways according to how we look at it, or who narrates and witnesses it.
